Just type

Rather than mimic a physical calculator’s grid of buttons, Calcifer lets you type your calculation using familiar mathematical syntax. The result shows in real time as you type. Also, Calcifer formats your input as you go to keep things tidy.

Edit without losing your work

Forgot a step? No need to start over. Your whole calculation is visible at once, so you can edit any part of it.

Chain multiple calculations together

No need to make a new window, just hit Enter to add a new calculation. Type ans to use the previous calculation’s result.

Other nice things

• Click  to copy the result. The commas aren’t included so you can paste easily into other programs
• Hit Tab to close all remaining parentheses
• Calcifer understands thousands separators, so typing 1,000 works the same as 1000
• Click  to keep Calcifer on top of other windows
• Click  to view a reference of functions
